JD Marmion is a citizen of Santa Fe New Mexico with a powerful voice that balances world knowledge with local, nuanced wisdom.

History- JD Marmion grew up in Santa Fe. JD boasts a very diverse and successful background, majoring on military service but also including homeland security training and service as well as serving as a New Mexico game warden. JD has worked in the New Mexico State Legislature for over 14 years in various rolls and capacities. He has visited the countries of; Egypt, Costa Rica, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Quait, Dubai, Guatemala and more.

Education- JD graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2000 and graduated from the New Mexico Military Institute soon after. He has attended both UNM and Excelsior University in New York. JD holds a major degree in criminal justice and a minor in homeland security studies. He has served in the United States Army as an Airborne Army Ranger and currently holds the rank of ‘Major’ in the army reserves.

Creative- JD is a film and documentary maker. He is extremely passionate to effect positive change in his community and touch the lives and hearts of Santa Feans for the better. JD is currently co-creating a docuseries with Eli Bransford called “What’s Happening to Santa Fe” which explores recent challenges to his home town, specifically concerning crime and homelessness.
